Churchill Training Solutions (CTS) is excited to announce it is working with Weybridge Library, to deliver a series of free introductory first aid classes for the local community.

These sessions are designed to educate attendees on the vital importance of first aid training—whether you're a business looking to train your staff or a member of the public wanting to learn life-saving skills. Experienced trainer and founder of Churchill Training Solutions, Paula, will be leading the sessions, providing valuable insights into the range of courses offered by CTS.

For businesses, Paula will also touch on the importance of conducting a proper workplace first aid needs assessment. This involves evaluating factors such as the nature of your work, the size of your workforce, your workplace layout, shift patterns, and accident history to ensure you have the right level of training and equipment in place to stay compliant with Health and Safety regulations.

What Will Be Covered?

Emergency First Aid at Work

Paula will explain what's involved in our Emergency First Aid at Work course, ideal for businesses meeting their workplace first aid requirements as well as individuals wanting to gain essential skills. The course covers topics such as resuscitation and AED awareness, dealing with an unresponsive casualty, choking, bleeding control, burns, shock, and basic hygiene in first aid.

First Aid for Mental Health

With mental health awareness becoming increasingly important in both the workplace and wider community, Paula will share information on our Mental Health and Wellbeing courses. These cover topics including identifying mental health conditions, starting supportive conversations, understanding stress and other mental health conditions, and creating a First Aid for Mental Health action plan.

Paediatric First Aid

For childcare settings, schools, businesses employing young people, or parents and carers, Paula will outline our Paediatric First Aid courses. These cover essential skills including CPR and AED use for children, choking, seizures, allergic reactions, meningitis awareness, and treating common childhood injuries and emergencies.

CPR and AED Demonstration

Paula will also demonstrate how to use an AED and explain how CPR can save someone's life—essential skills for any workplace or home environment.
